[Korea] Salt Museum

 

The salt museum building was built using a stone salt warehouse built in the early days of the establishment of the salt field in 1945. This stone warehouse was built before the wooden salt warehouse used now, and after that, it was used as a material warehouse and then remodeled into a salt museum and opened as a salt museum in 2007. Because it preserves its old appearance, it is a valuable resource in the history of salt fields, and you can see the appearance of modern stone architecture.

The salt that we talk about in the museum contains information ranging from anthropological aspects to anecdotes about salt. In particular, it solves the misunderstanding that salt has been considered the main culprit of high blood pressure and diabetes, and provides useful information on salt such as salt history, culture, minerals, and bay salt fields. In addition, you can look at the economic history, technical history, social history, mythology, and art history of salt.In addition, it is designed to examine the daily lives of people in the Taepyeong Salt Farm and the process of making sea salt at a glance, and information on the reef, which has recently been attracting attention, can be acquired.
