[Korea] Seoul Botanical Garden

a beautiful green spot in the city center

The Seoul Botanical Garden was created in Magok, the last remaining development site in Seoul, to introduce plants and plant cultures in 12 cities around the world and enhance the city's ecological sensitivity. As a so-called "botanic park" that combines botanical gardens and parks, the area is the size of 70 soccer fields. It serves as a bridgehead and lifelong education institution for the spread of urban garden culture, as well as the original role of plant research conservation institutions such as expanding endangered wild plant habitats, researching the proliferation of species and developing varieties. The botanical garden is divided into four spaces: an open forest, a theme garden, a lake garden, and a wetland garden, and the highlight of which is the theme garden, which includes a botanical culture center, an outdoor theme garden, and a Magok culture center.
