[Korea] Beophwan Port
the port where General Choi Young hit the barracks
Beophwan Port is also called Maksookgae, and Maksook originated from the fact that General Choi Young built a barracks here in the late Goryeo Dynasty and used it as a lodging for soldiers to defeat the enemy. It belongs to Jeju Olle 7 course, so it is good for walking travelers to enjoy the surrounding scenery. From here, you can see Beomseom Island, Seopseom Island, Munseom Island, and Saeseom Island over the sea at a glance. There is a "Jamnyeo Square" with female diver statues installed, and you can also see people enjoying fishing, so you can feel the beautiful atmosphere of Jeju in harmony with the sea. Like other ports on Jeju Island, Yongcheon Water remains, and just looking at clean and clear water gives you coolness. There are various amenities such as guest houses, cafes, and restaurants nearby, so travelers can enjoy the scenery of Seogwipo Sea more leisurely and comfortably.
