[Korea] Albus Gallery (Korea's first gallery specializing in illustrations)
Located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Albus Gallery is the first gallery specializing in illustration in Korea that opened in May 2017. It is named after the Latin word "albus," which means white, which is the source of all images. Albus Gallery, reminiscent of a rolled-up white drawing paper, aims to show the artists' own stories, like an open book with stories on a white background. It is trying to introduce illustrated works that have been difficult to be illuminated as artworks to the audience, and to create a culture where adults and children can enjoy all the beautiful paintings that have stories as well as illustrations of picture books and fairy tales that children see a lot.
